Safe Sitter® Programs

Not just a Class. A Cause.

YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region offers Safe Sitter training to young teens to prepare them to stay home alone safely, care for younger siblings, and how to get their first jobs as babysitters. The curriculum includes topics such as babysitting as a business, infant and child choking rescue, injury prevention and injury management, behavior management, and sitter safety.

Our instructors are Safe Sitter certified. Safe Sitter is a nationally recognized program that is medically accurate and developmentally-appropriate for young teens. Visit to learn more.
